PIPs

Ideas for starting the PIP:

You could look for some ideas on the SBS Insight web page. Insight is a program that debates and discusses current topics.
You could also look at previous episodes of Compass (ABC TV).

Have a look at Debate.org and maybe even add an opinion...

Instagrok is a good starting point to access many ideas at once. Just enter a search term and see related ideas, videos and images.

Visuwords is also a good for stimulating ideas and related terms.

Starting the Research:

The school library catalogue
Sign in to your student portal and click on the Oliver icon. When you get to the catalogue page, select federated search in the drop down menu. This will search across databases including Britannica Online, the library catalogue and Google and eBooks.

Great Lakes Public library catalogue

Greater Taree City Council library catalogue

SMH Digital edition - see Carla for logon details.

Google Advanced Search

Use the Advanced Search to narrow your search results and find specific info.  Ask Carla for help if needed.

Hot Topics is the name of a journal that has lots of current affairs topics from a legal standpoint.

NSW State Library databases... get free access to thousands of articles. Ask Carla how.
